Excursions are a great way to extend our SinglesCruise fun beyond the ship and we will provide our booked guests a list of recommended excursions so you can hang out with your new friends in port too.

British Airways' changes to carry on baggage rules

British Airways has made recent changes to their carry on baggage rules:

Boarding the aircraft
"Customers will now be invited to board in order based on the cabin they are travelling and in order of Executive Club status. All of our other customers will be asked to board by seat row number. Those travelling with an infant or are a customer who requires extra assistance, will continue to be invited to board before everyone else."

Changes to hand baggage
"In recent months we have seen an increase in customers travelling with hand baggage that exceeds their allowance. We always try to accommodate our customers where we can but to make sure the aircraft is ready to depart on time we are making the following changes:

Passengers can continue to carry 2 pieces of hand baggage. One bag should be a handbag/laptop sized bag which should now be no larger than 40x30x15cm.

The size of the additional cabin bag remains unchanged and should be no larger than 56x45x25cm and can weigh up to 23kgs.
Customers travelling in all cabins, except First and Club World will receive a yellow tag for handbag/laptop sized bags which are within the new dimensions. We guarantee that your clients can take this bag on board with you. Please have the tag visible for boarding and place the bag under the seat in front of you.

We encourage passengers to carry any valuables or items such as medication in their handbag/laptop sized bag to ensure you have everything you need in the cabin.

Customers who travel with hand baggage which is outside of their allowance will be asked to check this into the hold.

On very busy flights we may have to ask some of our customers to check bags without yellow tags into the hold if the overhead lockers are full."

New Documentation Requirements for All Minors Traveling to or from South Africa

(May 12, 2015) - Effective June 1, 2015, the South African government will enforce new documentation requirements for all children under the age of 18 when traveling to or from South Africa. Regardless of nationality, children must travel with additional documentation as required by the Department of Home Affairs - South Africa (DHA).

Effective June 1, 2015, documentation requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

In addition to a passport, an original, unabridged, or certified (with seal or stamp) copy of the child’s full birth certificate issued within the last 3 months is required for all trips.

The new documentation requirements are applicable to all minors, under the age of 18. However, they may vary and additional documentation may be required, depending upon whether the minor is traveling alone, traveling with one parent or two parents or with another adult.

Children who are traveling unaccompanied, traveling with only one parent or traveling with an adult other than a parent must travel with an affidavit of consent executed by the non-traveling parent(s). To view a sample affidavit, please click here.
All travel documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation.

Exceptions may apply. Details are outlined in the DHA final immigration regulation - section six (6): Admission and Departure Subsection 10 – 12.
